Resident angry that Massachusetts is not cleaning up Crow Lane Landfill

March 13th, 2008 by Todd Hageman

In a scathing letter to the editor of the Newburyport News, resident Jim Stiles accuses the state of Massachusetts of not doing enough to clean up the landfill, and he accuses the state of tying the hands of city officials who want to help.  He urges fellow residents affected by the toxic waste from the Crow Lane Landfill to:

“Get angry and speak up.  If you don’t, expect more of the same.  If you don’t act, you deserve the government you have.”

We have been monitoring this story in numerous past blogs over the last few months.  While I don’t represent any of the homeowners in Newburyport, MA who live near Crow Lane Landfill, the issues are very similar issues faced by other hundreds of residents I represent who have been damaged by landfills.  In fact, the stories are strikingly similar.
